This magnificent course has been the home of Hong Kong racing since 1846. Hong Kong's second racecourse at Sha Tin, opened in 1978, and is home to the world's richest day of turf racing and the world's longest Diamond Vision Television screen. The racing season runs from September to June/early July the following years. Night race meetings are held in Happy Valley on most Wednesday evenings, while day race meetings are held in Sha Tin on Saturdays or Sundays.
